Job Description: The Transportation Coordinator will assist the Terminal Manager with the daily administrative responsibilities related to transportation fulfillment, truck wash oversight and customer facility management. This is an entry level position that is located on-site in Argo/Summit, IL.

Schedule:
As the Transportation Coordinator you will work a rotating 4 days on and the next 4 days off schedule during the hours of 7 a.m to 6 p.m. Weekend days are required when your 4 days on includes a weekend.

Job Requirements:
  • Maintaining inventory using a variety of different inventory systems
  • Creating BOLs and assisting drivers picking up deliveries
  • Creating production schedules and adjusting as needed according to customer demands
  • Directing 6-8 associates on daily tasks to meet daily production goals
  • Organizing and reviewing driver's paperwork
  • Tracking and ordering raw materials and office inventory
  • Processing and submitting vendor invoices for payment to Accounts Receivable
  • Communicating between Terminal and other company departments
  • Answering phones and filing terminal paperwork
  • SAP and inventory management
Experience Requirements:
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent computer and typing skills
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office; specifically Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate by email
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to verify past 8 years of work or education history
  • At least 3 years of administrative office experience required
Education Requirements:
  • 2 year college degree preferred
